Specipig is located in Barcelona, a strong life sciences cluster, and next to the international airport.
With an extension of 3 ha, of which 5.000 square meter include the housing, breeding and office buildings. With a housing capacity for more than 300 animals.
Fully equipped facilities provide quality service to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies, research centres and hospitals, both local and from the abroad.

Specipig is a Contract Research Organization (CRO) focused on the swine model. We offer customized services specialized in the pig model, with preclinical support for research centres, hospitals, pharmaceutical, biotechnological and medical device companies in all phases of their projects.
We are experts on the swine model given that we have a breeding centre integrated in the same facilities, enabling our team to acquire expertise in swine management, breeding, health and welfare.
We have our own source of Specipig miniature pigs, improving our control of the supply chain.
We are fully GLP certified and fully compliant with the guidelines issued by ICH, EMA, ISO 10993, FDA and other relevant health authorities.
Specipig’s services are covered by internal technicians and external reputed experts and collaborators (experts in the area of interest in each project).
Specipig has a small structure, that gives an agile and quick response to the demands and can easily adapt to our sponsor’s requests, given our high customization capacity.
