X RAY IMATEK SLL'empresa va ser fundada l'any 2006 com a spin-off de l'Institut de Física d'Altes Energies (IFAE) de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Basada en una experiència combinada en recerca de més de tres dècades, X-Ray Imatek pot proporcionar una experiència inigualable oferint una solució d'última generació per a imatges de raigs X basada en la família de detectors Medipix i Timepix, sota una llicència exclusiva del CERN. X-Ray Imatek també desenvolupa i ofereix la seva pròpia cartera de productes, així com solucions de detecció a mida per a la indústria i la recerca. X-Ray Imatek té com a objectiu posicionar l'empresa entre els líders del mercat de detectors de raigs X gràcies a la seva tecnologia innovadora, ètica i alts estàndards de qualitat.

The company was founded at year 2006 as an spin-off of the High Energy Physics Institute (IFAE) at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Based on a combined research experience expanding more than three decades, X-Ray Imatek can provide unmatched expertise delivering a state-of-the-art solution for x-ray imaging based on the Medipix and Timepix detectors family, under an exclusive CERN license.
X-Ray Imatek also develops and provides its own products portfolio as well as tailored detection solutions for Industry and Research.

X-Ray Imatek introduces the eX Series, a high-speed compact X/Gamma-Ray camera based on Medipix3RX and Timepix detectors with different sensor options, an exchangeable and expandable area of detection, and multi-platform compatibility.

The eX Series family is equipped with an exchangeable detector mechanism that will allow users to switch between different chips and sensors while maintaining the same hardware readout system. Different detector areas are available and every option can be combined with different flavours of sensors like Si, CdTe or GaAs.
XRI UNO: a reliable and cost-effective solution.
The XRI UNO is an X/Gamma-Ray camera based in a single Timepix ASIC, providing a cutting-edge imaging solution suitable for a wide range of applications.
It’s been designed as a compact and ready-to-use device which will enable users become familiar with the capabilities of the photon counting technology and the Medipix detectors. Different flavours of sensors are available, from Si to High-Z materials like CdTe and GaAs, configured and supplied up to every user needs.
The UNO model with Timepix detectors has become an essential tool for small to medium labs and facilities where x-rays are used.
