CREBA (Applied Biomedical Experimental Research Center)

CREBA (Centre for Applied Biomedical Experimental Research) is dedicated to translational biomedical research and continuous training of health professionals. Its main area of specialisation is porcine models, always following the 3Rs principle (reduction, refinement and replacement).

Located in the village of Torrelameu (Lleida), CREBA is well communicated with the main cities of the country, both by high-speed train and by road.

CREBA's facilities include an animal facility for pigs and four experimental operating theatres, with capacity for 8 operating tables for open surgery, laparoscopic surgery and other interventional techniques. It also has classrooms and annexes, as detailed in the following sections of this page.
