Impact: ESG & SDG Goals
GOAL 3: Good Health and Well-being
GOAL 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
GOAL 13: Climate Action
Environment: energy usage; climate change; greenhouse gas eminsions; carbon footprint reduction
Contribution to CO2 emission reductions and production of efuels and new raw material based os circular economy principles.
Market Data
The horizon of total decarbonization of economy fixed by EU Commision by 2050 require new alternative energectic vectors to fosil fuels in order to fulfill all the energy demand. New technology developments allow the valorization of CO2 through the transformation of this waste into neutral emission e-fuels or chemicals. In this case, methanol is one of the most important due to its versatility in both, e-fuels, cosmetics or chemistry applications. This technology allow the acces to neutral methanol through the conversion of CO2.

Methanol is indeed a commodity and represents the 4th chemical compound in terms of traded volumes. Closing the carbon cycle through CO2 conversion into methanol therefore seems attractive to mitigate the linked problems of global warming and oil depletion
