Market Data
Free flaps (autologus tissues for surgery reconstruction) are used on all kind of reparative surgeries. The main risk of failure are post-surgical microvascular compications on the anastomotic sites, which causes ischemia and tissue necrosis. Similarly, trauma units struggle to correctly diagnose compatimental syndrome, which requires extremely invasive surgical operation to avoid severe morbility consequences due to ischemia. In both cases the control of tissue ischemia is critical. However, nowadays the diagnosis os isehcmia is based on the clincial observation of subjetive symptoms. Therefore, microcirculatory complications are normally detected too late. Thus, early detection of tissue ischemia is a primary aim on microsurgical and trauma units.

The business model is a clasical B2B with two branches. The first one is selling the sensor, transmiter and reader to hospitals (surgery and traumatology departments) and the second one is selling the sensors that will be inserted to the patients.
Early detection of tissue ischemia is a primary aim on microsurgical and trauma units.
1) Reader and transmiter. There are approximately 165.000 hospitals in the word. 2) Sensors.Globally there are 40 millon new tibia fractures and compartimental syndrom is a complication in 40% 3) As average in US and Europe there are 200.000 flap surgery 4) Critical limb ischemia: The global annual incidence is estimated at 22 per 100.000 habitants. In the population older than 65, the incidence is 113-200 per 100.000 habitants

Can be carried out by both physicians and caregiver professionals. Small dimensions of the sensor and the probe design, it permits to be easily removed from the site of insertion with minimal pain and risk. In case of ischemia complications, it will permit an immediate surgical response before irreversible tissue damage occurs.
