Bioarchaeology platform

Bioarchaeology Laboratory (Archaeozoology and Archaeobotany)

The Bioarchaeology laboratory has the necessary facilities and infrastructures for the study of bioarchaeological material (fauna, seeds, charcoal, etc.). It has a dirty area where the material is washed and floated, and a clean area where its classification and analysis are carried out. The facilities of the Bioarchaeology laboratory are used for teaching and research at a national and international level. The laboratory also has reference collections of animal bones and seeds for the study of archaeological material. It also has reference atlases and optical microscopy equipment and scanners.
