Tuberculosis is the infection caused by a single microorganism that causes the most deaths in the world. Currently, a third of humanity (about two billion affected) is already infected, and three million people die annually. Eight million new cases are registered each year.
The RUTI vaccine is made from Mycobacterium tuberculosis fragmented into small particles and detoxified to eliminate the toxic substances produced by the bacillus. This vaccine will allow tuberculosis to be treated in infected people who have not developed the disease.
