Volta was founded by Dean Bogdanovic, a long time networking veteran and former Distinguished Engineer at Juniper Networks. Working with fellow networking vet, Ivo Raznjevic they founded the company that is rethinking routing.
The name Volta Networks comes from the Italian word voltare which means to turn. We believe that now is the time to turn networks and rethink routing. Dean built a team that has delivered a full-featured routing control plane in the cloud.

Volta is headquartered in Boston with a development office in Barcelona which has emerged as one of the hubs of the European tech scene, especially for open source projects like Quagga, DPDK, and DevOps.
