Equipments & Services Offered
Sample analysis services The laboratory performs analyzes of solid biofuels in order to evaluate their physical and chemical characteristics and determine their suitability for the different energy recovery processes. The analyzes that the laboratory can do are: Moisture content – UNE-EN ISO 18134-2 Bulk density – UNE-EN ISO 17828 Particle size distribution – UNE-EN ISO 17827-1 Upper and lower calorific value – UNE-EN ISO 18125 Total carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen (CHN) content – UNE-EN ISO 16948 Ash content – UNE-EN ISO 18122 Mechanical durability of pellets – UNE-EN ISO 17831-1 These analyzes can be for different types of solid biofuels such as: chip, pellet, briquettes, sawdust, almond shell, stone, pruning and vine shoots, etc., in addition to the determination of the humidity of firewood and wood in roll. Inspection and diagnosis services. DBOSQ forest chip quality inspection and audit services (CTFC brand). Inspection and audit services at FÀBRICA for the DIN Plus brand in the production of pellets and other agroforestry biofuels Business support The laboratory helps to improve the competitiveness of companies and contribute to their compliance with the required quality standards. ACM agroforestry biofuels quality analysis service Through the Central World Purchasing Center of the ACM (the Catalan Association of Municipalities), the CTFC offers the quality analysis service of agroforestry biofuels. With the aim of guaranteeing the efficient use of biomass boilers, local bodies in Catalonia that wish to do so may contract a one-off analysis or a comprehensive monitoring plan. The quality analyzes offered by the CTFC laboratory can be ordered sporadically, or repeatedly and regularly (scheduled). Sporadic analysis Sporadic analysis includes: Shard: moisture content, particle size and ash content Pellets: moisture content, durability, fine and ash content Scheduled analysis The Comprehensive Scheduled Monitoring or Analysis Plan includes two visits a year to the customer’s facility by the laboratory technicians (one at the beginning of the heating season and the other at the end of the season) plus l analysis of two samples sent to the laboratory by the customer. Scheduled analysis includes: Estella: CTFC sampling: bulk density, moisture content, particle size, lower calorific value and ash content Sample sent by the customer: moisture content, particle size and ash content Pellets CTFC sampling: bulk density, moisture content, durability, fineness, lower calorific value and ash content Sample sent by the customer: moisture content, durability, fine and ash content
