Centre de Ciència i Tecnologia Forestal de Catalunya (CTFC)The Forest Science and Technology Centre of Catalonia (CTFC) contributes to science for sustainable forest management, biodiversity and the circular bioeconomy with the aim of becoming a benchmark centre in the Mediterranean region from within Catalonia, by consolidating a hub of excellence in research and technology transfer to society.

It works on three basic programmes to achieve this goal: multifunctional forest management; landscape dynamics and biodiversity; and bioeconomy, health and governance. Research in these programmes focuses on key aspects, such as the balance of natural environmental functions, adaptation to climate change and competitiveness throughout value chains.
